What is Profhilo?
Profhilo is an injectable product made with hyaluronic acid. It is distributed at selected points beneath the skin and is intended to support hydration and the appearance of skin quality as it disperses.
Unlike dermal filler used to shape or restore selected areas, Profhilo is not planned as a contouring treatment. Results vary and a particular change cannot be guaranteed.
Who is it for?
Suitability is individual
Profhilo may be discussed when the goal is improved hydration, elasticity or overall skin appearance. The treated area, product choice and schedule depend on your anatomy, skin, health and expectations.
Not everyone is suitable for injectable treatment. Katie may recommend a different option, postpone treatment or advise against proceeding after assessment.

Profhilo is often planned as a course with maintenance considered later, but there is no single schedule for everyone. Katie will explain the proposed plan and how your response will be reviewed.
Profhilo Structura is a different product with a different intended use. If it is relevant to your goals, Katie will explain the distinction and assess which approach may be appropriate.
Recovery & risks
What happens afterwards?
Temporary raised areas at injection points, redness, swelling, tenderness, itching or bruising can occur. These usually settle, but timing varies. Less common and serious complications are discussed before consent.

Will I look different straight away?
Injection-point bumps can be visible initially. Any intended skin-quality changes develop over time and vary between individuals.
How much downtime is there?
Many people continue normal routines, but swelling, tenderness or bruising can occur. Allow for this before important events.
How long do results last?
Duration varies with the individual, treatment course and lifestyle. Katie will discuss review and maintenance without promising a fixed timeframe.
