What is microneedling?

Microneedling uses fine, sterile needles to create tiny controlled channels in the skin. This prompts a natural repair response and can support gradual improvements in texture and overall skin quality.

Depending on your assessment, the conversation may include uneven-looking texture, visible pores, fine lines, dullness or the appearance of some scars. Results vary and no particular outcome can be guaranteed.

Katie begins with a medical and skin assessment, explains the proposed depth and treatment area, then prepares the skin carefully. You will receive clear information about expected sensations, limitations, risks and aftercare before deciding whether to proceed.

Microneedling is not suitable for every person or every skin condition. Active infection, broken or inflamed skin and some health conditions or medicines may affect suitability.

Recovery

What to expect afterwards

Temporary redness, warmth, tightness, sensitivity, dryness or flaking can occur. Mild swelling or pinpoint bruising is also possible. Allow time for your skin to settle before an important occasion.

The appropriate schedule depends on your starting point, goal, response and the area treated. Some clients choose a course while others book occasional maintenance. Katie will recommend timing after assessment rather than using one fixed plan for everyone.
